SUBLIME-PROJECT File Complications
Troubles Opening SUBLIME-PROJECT Files
Sublime Text is Not Installed
When trying to open your SUBLIME-PROJECT file, you get the error "Can't Open SUBLIME-PROJECT File Type". Usually, this is because you do not have Sublime Text for %%os%% installed. The typical path of opening your SUBLIME-PROJECT with a double-click won't work because %%os%% cannot make the program connection.
Tip: When another SUBLIME-PROJECT application is installed, you can choose to open it by selecting "Show Apps" and using that program.
Outdated Sublime Text
Sometimes your installed version of Sublime Text won't support your Sublime Text Project file. If you've got the wrong version of Sublime Text installed, you'll need to install the correct version. The primary cause of this problem is that your Sublime Text Project file was created by a different (newer) version of Sublime Text than what's installed.
Tip: You can sometimes get hints about the right program version by right-clicking on the SUBLIME-PROJECT file, selecting "Properties", and looking at the version information.
Ultimately, most of the difficulties opening SUBLIME-PROJECT files are due to having the wrong version of Sublime Text installed.
Other SUBLIME-PROJECT File Issues
Assuming you have the right Sublime Text version installed, other problems can prevent you from opening SUBLIME-PROJECT files. If you're still experiencing problems opening SUBLIME-PROJECT files, there could be other computer problems. Issues that aren't software-related:
- Windows Registry SUBLIME-PROJECT file paths that are incorrect
- Mistaken removal of the Windows registry SUBLIME-PROJECT description
- Sublime Text or another SUBLIME-PROJECT application experienced a flawed installation
- Your SUBLIME-PROJECT can't be loaded properly (file corruption)
- Your SUBLIME-PROJECT is infected with malware
- Device drivers for SUBLIME-PROJECT-related hardware are out-of-date
- Windows has inadequate resources to open your Sublime Text Project file
